We are moving to Hilands Ranch this summer and I'm trying to find a good preschool for my 3 year old son. He will be 4 before Sept 15th so he will go to a 4 year old class or pre-K. Does anyone have recommendations? Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you, everyone, for giving me so many tips. I've looked into all of the schools and decided to go with Lone Tree Montessori. All of the schools looked wonderful, but I guess the deciding factor was location and availability. It's a bit expensive, but I know Montessori schools in California would cost twice (or more!!) as much, so I decided to give Montessori method a try. Thank you!!

Aspen Academy is a wonderful early childhood through 8 grade school! Wonderful teachers and a great community for all children. They have really small class sizes so that each student gets individual attention. My children will all be attending.

You know I loved LaPetite for my oldest daughter - she is ahead of most kids her age because of how they taught her and what they teach. My youngest daughter will be going there in a couple of years too.

My suggestion is to look for a good Montessori Preschool. They are non-religious and follow an amazing teaching philosophy. You have to make sure that the school is either AMI or AMS affiliated to make suer that it is an authentic Montessori school. You can look into the philosophy and teaching methods on line or if you prefer, there are many books out by Maria Montessori. I have been teaching at a Montessori preschool for the past 9 years and am lucky enough to have my child enrolled in the program. Look into it!!

Cottonwood Parent Participation Preschool in Littleton. Its in the Salvation Army Church but is not associated with it. We love it. Its play-based and really instills a love of learning.

My daughter's preschool teacher works out of her home now in Castle Pines, but she used to teach at Lone Tree Montessori (just off Lincoln, near Quebec, I think).

They do 3,4, and 5's all together -- a great approach. I've talked with the director at length and it sounds like they've got a very stable program; many teachers have been there 10 years. Good luck!
