Hi everyone! I am looking for a dentist in Petaluma who is good with kids. My son is terrified to go, but it has been put off for far too long. Fortunatly, he has excellent dental habits so far, but we know he must start seeing a dentist. Thank you for any suggestions!

My dentist refered me to them for my youngest who has three cavities and is anxious at the dentist. Our first visit went very well and they are really set up for kids.

Dr. Christian Kjeldsen ###-###-#### 1128 B St. Petaluma
Dr. Kjeldsen is kind and gentle with 3 young boys of his own. I watched him for a couple of years with my son before I decided to go to him too.
It's a small office and Barb, the receptionist, is GREAT also!

We see Dr. Megan (her first name which is prnounced Meegan) at Gentle Dental in the KMart shopping center. She is a pediatric dentist and is their two days a week. All my kids love her. We've been there for regular check ups, cavaties with my oldest son when he was five years old and what really sold us was how she worked with my daughter when she was four and had broken her tooth. First she saw us during her lunch and then when it was determined that my daughters tooth had to be pulled she was very gentle with her. She gave us options as far as nitrous oxide or jsut novacaine and she also worked very well with my daughter who was terrified. SHe never lied to ehr but also didn't tell her any more than she needed to know. She talked to her the whole time and had her hygenist putting Dora tatoos all up and down her arm to help distract her durring the procedure. After it was done she needed ot be fit for a spacer and Dr. Megan realized that my daughter was too tramatized to handle that so she had us come back later. She also is wonderful with our toddler. All his exams have been done in my lap which makes him much more comfortable.
