Hi moms,
I am looking for a double stroller that will work with the car seat I already have. I am due in November and have a 2 1/2 year old son (he will be 3 when this one is born). My car seat is the Arura by evenflo. I would prefer a side by side so I can see both kids, but am not opposed to a front back one. I do not want a sit/stand as my son will not stay in it. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

What can I do next?

GRACO QUATTRO TOUR DUO all the way! It is my 3rd double stroller that I have owned and is by far my VERY favorite! It is a tandem stroller, but the the front seat holds a child up to 50 lbs and comes with seperate snack and cup holders that allow an older child easy access in and out when they are to that point. My middle son is now 3 and likes to walk in the mall a lot, but gets tired. He can get in and out at will, or at my will I can strap him in and he stays put. It manovers awesome and is my very favorite piece of equipment. I would say it should most likely accept your infant seat because it should stay put by the snack tray, but I would bring your seat to the store and try it out just to be sure. Hope this helps.

I had a Graco DuoGlider (front and back) and didn't really like it. It was heavy to push and while walking in a park I pushed it over a section of grass that had a slight incline and I almost dumped it. After that experience, I purchased the Bumbleride Indie Twin. I have had it almost a year now, my children are 2 1/2 and 1 and let me tell you, it is a dream stroller! I love it, my MIL & Mother loves it, my babysitter loves it, and even my nieces who are 10 and 12 love it! They all agree that it is a nice stroller and very easy to manage. Check out www.babygizmo.com for a video and review of it. I know how to get a good deal on one. If you are interested send me a message. Good luck. I had a really hard time picking out a double stroller. I should also mention that I am only 5' and 110# and I can lift the bumbleride into my volvo trunk!

Check out the Peg Perego 60/40 twin stroller. One seat is larger to accommodate car seats, I am just not sure whether it will fit the one you have. My recollection is that it may be specifically designed to fit a specific Peg Perego car seat. The neat thing about it, though, is that when the younger child is big enough to sit in the stroller without the car seat, the larger seat will nicely accommodate the older child, and the younger one moves to the smaller seat, which makes it useful for a longer period of time.

Good luck with your search!

Have you looked on "freecycle.org"? That's where we landed ours. It's a bit older, a Graco, in fine working condition. Someone might just post the very thing you are looking for. Best wishes!

just so you know, the sit and stand does have seatbelt straps for the back section. I got mine at Target for $120.

I've tried each style of stroller (side by side, front/back, and sit and stand), and this is by far my favorite. My older daughter just turned 4, and if I don't take the sit and stand, I just use a single stroller.

also, the sit and stand comes with a bar for the infant seat and it says it's universal!

kolcraft has a tandem stroller (front and back), that fits an infant carrier. While the infant can only face you, your older child can face either front or back. When you put the younger one in the bigger seat, it too can face either way. I have this stroller for my 2 1/2 yr old and 8 month old and it's nice. I little on the heavy side, but i was looking for one that would accomodate an infant carrier as well. It's called kolcraft contours options tandem stroller. they have it on the kolcraft website, and i purchase mine at babies r us.

I have the Peg Perego Aria Double Side by Side and I LOVE it. It is super light (only 11 lbs I think) and very easy to push. It officially only fits the Peg car seats I think but I was able to put mine (not Peg)on it with no problem. You can usually fine it on dispay at Babies R Us so you might want to take your carseat there and try it out. I have used it almost daily for 3 years and it is still in good shape. It even holds my 6 year old and is still not to hard to push. Good luck.
