Looking for a Daycare Facility That YOU Love!

I responded to your other request and I wish that I could help you, however, I live off of the 60 and Sossaman, so a little out of your way.

Have you heard of "Watch Me Grow" daycare on Greenfield and Guadalupe? It is not too far away from you and I have heard great reviews on their program. They have video cameras so that you can check in on your child whenever you want to. I know that if I had to choose to send my children to a daycare this would be comforting.

Another commercial daycare that is more like a 'home' environment is New Horizons Preschool on Greenfield and Baseline. Their preschool is licensed by the state, but it is set up in a home. It is right on Greenfield next to Pioneer Elementary School. My nephew has attended this preschool for the past two years and has been with his actual teacher for the past three years(his teacher was at another preschool) I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their setup and I feel right at home whenever I go to visit their school. I am seriously contemplating taking my daughter there in the fall. I love all of the staff and they are all very personable. I have to say my nephew is mighty intelligent and I believe a lot of it came from this school. They do many activities with the families and it is a wonderful place that I think you would feel comfortable at. It is worth looking into. Another person mentioned "Watch Me Grow Preschool" I took my daughter there when she was one. It seemed pretty good. They do have cameras in the class room, so you can peek in anytime you want - its not perfect graphics, but you can usually make out your child in the video. At the time I took my daughter, the facility was pretty new, (just a couple of years ago), and it was "mom" who started the center - it did seem a lot smaller and more personal in comparison to a Tutor Time or Kindercare. I had my daughter there for a few months just for some social time with other children and to get a little time to myself.

I toured Tutor Time at Recker/Guadalupe not too long ago, and I liked their facility. It was clean, and the ladies who work in the baby room have been there for five years. That says something to me - they like what they do and where they work, and if that's the case, they are able to establish a relationship with the children.

When your son gets to age 3, check out Bridges Preschool - they are so great. So cozy and homey and run by a family, they have three locations now, two in Mesa and 1 in Gilbert. They offer full-time daycare/preschool.

My son is 5 now but when I was pregnant, we had known we were going to need daycare after my 12 week maternity leave was up. When we had gone to the birth classes at Banner Desert they had given us a bider with a brochure for a place called "Childcare Resource and Referral" which we had called. They were great. We called and told them where we lived, where we were looking to place our child and what kind of place we were looking for (commercial versus a home care place) and they sent us about 15 different pages on who was in a certain area. The places that they "refer" are places that register with them and make the point that they don't recommend one over another, they are just a clearinghouse of information and state that you need to do the research. They give you some fairly detailed info on the day care places and then we made the calls and interviewed several people. (We wanted him ina home, as we thought the more commercial places were too sterile, but that was just our preference) We were very lucky to find the woman we did and our whole family has become very close to her and her family. My son sees her older kids as siblings and they play as such. (Which is good, as he is and will be an only child, and we have no family here in AZ we're from Upstate NY.)

Love and learn preschool is so wonderful. I have a 2yr old and a 6yr old. They both love it there. and they are so close to the younger kids. I have had my son in and out of so many daycares because I just didn't think they cared enough with my son and wanted him to have some attention like the rest of the kids, this daycare splits there time with the kids so no one gets left out. I lvoe this daycare.

It is on alma school and Guadalupe in the walgreens parking lot.
