I am trying to find the best possible daycare for my daughter who is 2 and half years old. She's never been in daycare before, so I'm really anxious about finding the right one. So far I have checked the Kindercare on Alma School and Guadalupe, and La Petite Academy on McClintock and Guadalupe. I was wondering if anybody had anything thoughts/opinions/experiences with either one of these daycares. I would sure appreciate any input anyone has. Also, I have heard of a place called Montessori, but I can't seem to find any info on it. If anyone knows anything about it, please let me know, again, I'm looking for something in the Mesa, Chandler and even Tempe area.

THanks everyone!!
C.

There is a daycare on Baseline and Price that used to be really good. I am not sure whether it is still good, but it is worth looking into. It is called Best Friends Preschool. It is located on a road called Don Carlos, south of Baseline. I actually worked there in college and the director was very friendly, as well as, the other staff. It is not a very big center, so you don't have to worry about high numbers. I don't have phone number, but it is worth looking into. There is a montessori preschool in the area and it is called Dobson Montessori. Their website is www.dobsonmontessori.com I hope that this information helps and that you are able to find a place for your daughter.

Hi C.-

I am new here, so I just saw your post... I put my daughter in a Montessori program at age three. The BEST thing I ever did! She is now 11 years old, but she attended three daycare centers: Childtime (Elloit and McClintock), Tutor Time (Rural and Ray) and La Petite Academy (Kyrene and Chandler). I did not have a good experience with any of these. My daughter has nothing good to say about any of them either - just bad memories... Montessori was the absolute best - for care and education. Google "Montessori" you'll find a bunch of info on the program, it's a very old and effective form of education. I inerviewed ALL the Montessori schools within a 15 mile radius from my home in Tempe... I decided on "Mesa Montessori", located at Price Road (the 101) and Guadalupe - 2830 S. Carriage Lane Mesa, AZ 85202 ###-###-####. All the daycare centers I tried did not provide the care I expected or any real education. Montessori is a great program, she knew so much more than any of the other students when she transitioned to public school in 1st grade. My daughter still misses the Montessori school, many good memories! Good Luck!

Hi C.,

My child is due August 2nd and I can't stay home for very long. I am trying to get my mother to come. So I am in the same perdicatment. But I found a new preschool that I heard about from a friend at ASU. It will be located in Scottsdale. It is a dual langauge preschool. I want my child to learn Mandarin. I speak Spanish and my husband speaks English so I want my child to learn Mandarin as well. I don't know how much the school charges. How much is inexpensive daycare? I haven't decided what I am going to do yet.

Here is the website of the school:
