I seem to ask for alot of advice lately. I just love this site and all the knowledge. I thank you all.
Almost 3 years ago I had my tubes tied. Every month I have my period begins anywhere from the 25th to the 28th. Well last month it just didn't show up. During the middle of last month, I spotted for about 4 days. When it came time for my period, I hurt like I was going to have a period and have been crampy ever since. I am now 1 week late. I have my annual in 2 weeks. Do you think I should wait that long or try to go in as an emergency type deal? Stuff like this freaks me out. I don't want to have a tubal pregnancy. I did take a pregnancy test 2 days ago. It came up negative. What do yall think it could be, and do you think I should wait on my appointment or try to get seen asap?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I saw a doctor today. He did a pregnancy test and it was negative. Then he felt around to see if there were any masses. He did not find anything. He thinks it is nothing to worry about for the time being, but if I got worse to come back in. I have my pap due in 2 weeks. So if anything is up, I am sure they can find out. I will be sure to tell them what is going on.

That was going to be my suggestion...call the Dr. and see if they could put you on stand-by in case they have a cancellation so you could be seen earlier. I wouldn't think two weeks would be too long to wait, but I'm sure it would seem like forever for you if you spent the whole time worrying. Periods/hormones can do weird stuff to you when you throw stress in there. Good luck to you. :)

I would call my Drs office jsut to see what they have to say. Tubal preganancies won't always show up on a pregnancy test (or so I've been told). I do know two people that had their tubes tied (the one told me hers were clipped & burnt - must not have been) and ended up with healthy bouncing babies (rare). Again I would call my Dr to set my mind at ease.

Good Morning Stephanie, I am guessing here. It could be fibroids or cysts causing the spotting, cramping. Since your tubes were tied, unless the knot slipped, you shouldn't be preggers ;)
I would call your Dr. and see if they can reschedule your app. Two weeks isn't along time to wait, but the pain and discomfort is.

Be Blessed Stephanie, let us know what your find out

Well, I have to say if it we me I would go and get seen right away. Even though there is a lot more of a chance you are just late and there is not any problem. I have had an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy and it did not show up on a pregnancy test. There are many symptoms to ectopic preg., but not everyone suffers from the symptoms. Some of the symptoms are: brown vaginal discharge, vaginal bleeding, lower abdominal pain, lower back pain, etc. (google ectopic preg for more symptoms). I wouldn't wait 2 weeks because if for some reason you are preg with an ectopic your tube could burst (there is no guideline for when in a preg a tube will burst). I'm not trying to scare you, but I have been told there is a risk of ectopic preg when you have your tubes tied. Also, the doctors office could just send you in for a blood test to be sure because if there is any hcg reading it will be present in your blood. Then you could wait the 2 weeks until your drs appointment if everything is fine (plus you'll have peace of mind). Good luck! :)
