My daughter is 8yrs old & started playing soccer last year in west philly. They practice on Tues& Thurs 6-8:00 pm.There is a fee which reminds me I have to pay for my daughter.It's $70.00 for the year,but they break it up if need be.I pay$35.00 when we practice out-doors in summer,then the other $35.00 when we start practice in-doors which I believe starts November 2006.we practice out-doors at 57th & Haverford ave./Sheppard Rec.Center a field right across from Micky D's & Darroff elem sch. Winter we practice inside the gym @ Heston Elem school on Lancaster Ave.also in west philly. I just forget what hundread block.plenty of parking in school yard in evening. They have different age levels of player. They start as young as 3-4 depends on the child.They'll let the child practice for free ,so the parent can see if the child really wants to do it. They do prefer it more when the parents stay during practice as they say,not to baby-sit anybody's child.They'll teach the kids fine,we have trips, and we even had a casino trip for the adults to raise some money.
