Hi! I just moved here to Carmel from Michigan. I have a 16 1/2 month old son. We are sooooo bored here without all of the interaction w/ other moms and children that we got used to while in Michigan. I am looking for a playgroup for my son. It is getting very hard to entertain him all by myself with no regular activities. I'm planning on getting my son into Gymboree, but if anyone has any other things they know of that my son and I could get involved in, I would GREATLY appreciate it!! Thank you! L.
Try www.indymoms.com. They have all kinds of great stuff on there.
There's the Hamilton County chapter of Mothers & More (mothersandmore.org). There are also several yahoo groups for moms in the Carmel/Fishers/Indy area. They meet and do alot of activities but use the email group to coordinate. Quite a few churches also have a MOPS groups (mops.com).
HI! From where in Michigan did you move? I'm from East Lansing. I'm not in Carmel, but belong to a play group that gets together every Friday at different houses or parks around the city included one house in Carmel. PM me if you'd are interested.
I visited the Carmel Moms club, they seemed nice and had TONS of activities going on...we just never found the time to get there regularly but it's something I would look into again (I googled the contact info). I have a 14 month old daughter, and we are up for anything, send me a PM if you want to get the kids together at a park or walk the Monon!
