I am looking to join a playgroup. I have two boys 22 and 11 months old. I could attend a meeting or two per month.
Contact Parent Connection through Scripps Hospital. Through them, you can join the 4S Ranch Group or the Rancho Penasquitos group. I've joined the Rancho Penasquitos group because I can't make the Tuesday playgroup. My son has preschool on T/Th. So I attend playgroup with my son on Friday with the Rancho Penasquitos group. Scripps' hospital ParentConnection resource organizes hundreds of playgroups. It costs $20 a year to join, but it can be worth it. You don't have to have any other connection to Scripps. Here's a link to more info: http://www.scripps.org/Services.asp?ID=226
I f you go to any park during the day you will meet moms in your area and find a playgroup. I am having an open playdate on Monday March 17th at 11:15 at Rancho Bernardo Community Park if you would like to come. We are all wearing green! Hope to see you and anyone else there!!
Check out www.strollerstrides.com to see if there is a location near you. It's the best way to meet new moms and get fit at the same time! Your kids will LOVE it too!
