Hi, I also have poly cystic ovary, as well as my sister. We both had to go to fertility specialist at Woman and Infants. If you are interested I could give you her info. Wonderful Woman I have referred about 7 -8 people and she has gotten everyone pregnant

Hi T., I'm currently pregnant with my first baby that we conceived thru IVF. I found fertility/infertility can really mess with my mind/emotions and I found relief after going to the doctors and discussing my options. I highly recommend speaking to your ob/gyn. I live south of boston and if you're looking for a good ob/gyn I recommend Crown Ob/Gyn in crown colony quincy. I wish you all the best. J.

Congratulations on the weight loss!

I would suggest that you go see an obgyn or other doc that can address your concerns especially considering you have COS. They may be able to give you a solid plan.

T.,

You need to purchase this book:

"Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by T. Weschler

You can buy it on Amazon here: http://tinyurl.com/m4r8mw and it's totally worth it. It teaches you all about your fertility and how to use the FAM (Fertility Awareness Method) as birth control or to conceive. I used it for years to keep from having a baby and then to conceive my daughter. I always give this as a gift to my friends getting married - and we all love it. Trust me, you'll be so in touch with your body you will know exactly when you need to have sex to have a baby.

Hope this helps!!
L.

I'm not familiar with PCOS or fertility machines, but you say "going into 2nd month I got some spotting". Are you sure it's your period? When I was trying to conceive (twice), I spotted a few days right around when my period was due. I took the pregnancy test and got an unclear result, which I interpreted to be negative. However, it turned out that I was actually pregnant. I suggest you talk to your ob/gyn. Good luck! Keep your head up, you are young, and you are doing all the right things for yourself!!

hi! I'm D. I have PCOS and have used that fertility machine, and I have 2 beautiful children a 4 1/2 year old and a 20 month old. First off I'm going to give you my email address, ____@____.com
please feel free to email me regarding questions and help and advice.

Do you see a doctor for your pcos? if not do you live in Southern NH? I have a great doctor. He's wonderful and the reason I have 2 beautiful children. Are you taking Metformin?

Congrats on losing 100 lbs, wow! that's wonderful. I recently lost 79 lbs, and am still going. its a wonderful feat especially for PCOS women, who have such a hard time losing weight.

we'll figure out the machine. did you start using it on day 1 of your peroid, (that is what the M code is for)
Then you start testing when it asks for a test, with pcos, you may use test after test and get no peak. I didn't until I took Clomid for 2 mos, one year and on the 2nd month I ovulated and now I have a beautiful son. Then I took a new drug called femara and now I have a daughter.

Since you have pcos you may not find much use for the fertility machine until you go on Metformin (which helps pcos women regulate and helps prevent miscarriage, since PCOS women have a higher rate of miscarriage, trust me I know I had one before my son. Also you may need fertility drugs, so you should try my doctor if you are nearby Nashua, the dr is Alan Green from Evergreen Women's healthcare. They have a website, their address is 280 Main street nashua, if you aren't near nashua, you should find a great fertility doctor, you'll need one.

I hope I helped, email me if you have any more questions, and good luck! don't lose hope,

D.

p.s. don't waste your money on the book someone suggested "taking charge of your fertility," if you want to read it see if the library has it, or a 2nd hand store, like Mother and child in Nashua or Always new 2 you in Merrimack, cause with PCOS, it won't help much, trust me I tried that too.

Dear T.,
First, let me say that I'm praying for you.
Please talk to your Dr. about what happened w/ the machine. Try to call a customer service/support # to see what you need to do.
Next, try to relax! ( Easier said than done- I know) Stress is a sure-fired way not to get pregnant.
I was married for 5+ years before we had our son, and 31 years old. I had lost 4 babies before that, including my son's twin- all in my 20's. While I didn't want to wait until my 30's to have my children ( I had my daughter when I was 34), I have to tell you that they are such a blessing. I had even reached a point of "giving up" on "trying" to have a baby. Of course there were many a tear shed and many anguished prayers to God along the way.
Hang in there and I pray the Lord bless you at the right time w/ a healthy child and a healthy you!
God Bless!

I have no suggestions on the use of the machine as I have no experience in that area. I would suggest however the great book titled "Taking Charge of your Fertility." It is a wonderful resource. Best of luck, R.

Sorry you're having trouble conceiving-that must be very on you. I'm not familiar with the machine you're using but if you look on the box there is most likely a 1800 number to ask help. Also, since you have PCOS you may want to go to the Dr. to see if there is something else you could be doing to help your chances of conceiving.

Good Luck!

Hi there!
Sorry to read that you are having trouble getting pregnant! I do not know anything about your fertility machine but I do know about PCOS and infertility! I had PCOS and was also having no luck getting pregant. My advice to you is to ditch the machine and talk to your OB...if you have been trying for 6mo - a year then you are probably "qualified" for a referral to a fertility clinic. This may sound like a BIG step but when "you" are having trouble getting pregnant it sucks and every month could be a "missed" opportunity! It took me 3.5 years to conceive! 1 year trying on our own and 2 with the clinic...I took Metformin for my PCOS/ insulin resistance are you taking anything? Also my thyroid was hypo too...I went to the New England Center for Fertiltiy in Westboro on Lyman street. Great staff!! I ended up having IVF and have a beautiful son! then my second came 18 mo later naturally! Good luck to you! Infertility is a terrible struggle! hang in there!

Good for you for taking care of yourself and losing all that weight! That must have taken a lot of work. I know PCOS is really frustrating, but I'd also encourage you to borrow or buy a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility by T. Weschler. It does discuss PCOS a little, but more importantly, the information in there will help you make sense of your cycles, especially as you become healthier.

I'm not a doctor and I'm not a nutritionist, but I know people who have been working with fertility and nutrition for a long time who really swear that by eating a diet of mainly fruit, veggies, legumes, and limited grains with limited animal products and no processed food, you can turn something like PCOS around. There may be no medical cure, but making yourself as healthy as possible is always a good thing, right?

Calm down and relax. Getting all stressed and nervous is the worse thing you can do. You have to tell yourself that this is not a "do-it-this-month" or else proposition. You still seem to have many options if it doesn't work.
