My girlfriend and I have wanted to join a Moms' Group for quite a while, but it is hard to fit in with those mothers who are married, stay at home with the kids, and don't understand the hardships of being a single mother. We have thought about starting our own, but didn't know where to begin. We are both near the loop. Any groups out there already?
Count me in too. Let us. I am by the loop too and am also a single mom with a beautiful little 16 month old little girl. Keep us updated.
N., can i call u N.?at one time i was a single mom and i know how hard it is. but it is even harder now being a stay at home mom.i cant get a job that understands my daughters schedule.and i wish i was a single mom again.i would like to keep in touch.

I live in Katy, but I would be willing to join a group like this. As to Wolfgang's question, I think there should be two kind of groups, one for the single moms, and one for the single parents. Any other suggestions? I am also willing to drive in to town to be with a group of othere single parents that can understand the frustrations I go through on a daily basis.

this is a great idea. i live near the loop as well. not sure i have time to join but i definately think you girls should do it. Single parenting is HARD whether it's a mom or a dad doing all the child raising. Good Luck
I live inside the loop and my daughter is 5, I would love to find a play group for her and me to spend time with adults. I haven't found any near me. Although I live with my boyfriend I have raised her mostly myself, and he is gone Mon-Fri, so I understand because I work, go to school, and take care of her. Let me know if you would be interested in getting together sometime!
