Just wondering if anyone has had a child that has had the flu recently? What were the symptoms?

What can I do next?

Mine is just getting over it....Fever (my sons was up to 103+), aches, cough, sneezing, glassy eyes. He was put on Tamiflu for 5 days and was feeling much better after 24 hours of it in his system. LOVE that stuff. Don't mess around on getting your child into the dr; even though flu season is "over", drs are seeing a TON of new cases.

Good luck!

My 4 yr was just sick. It started with a fever, body aches, chills, sore throat, sneezing, cough, and a runny nose and ichy watery eyes. All those symptoms lasted for 2 days now she just has a cough and runny nose. She is doing much better I was going to take her to the dr today but she is doing much much better.

Flu is peaking late this year, it is going around many areas right now. Symptoms: fever, aches, chills, cough, headache, sinus congestion. You can usually differentiate it from a cold because of the fever and body aches. Sorry to hear you have a sick little one. Hope he or she feels better soon.

My 4 year old son and I just got over Influenza A a couple of weeks ago. He tested positive even though both of us had flu shots. We both had high fevers, headaches, and chills. I also had vomiting and muscle aches. Felt pretty awful for about 5 days even though I was on Tamiflu.
