My husband is turning 30 in a few months, and I was wondering if any of you mommies did anything creative for your husbands 30th? I've heard of doing 30 small gifts up until the day of, or a gift every hour for 30 hours? Just wanted to hear any of your ideas. Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

For my husband i had a party with an 80's theme. He loved the 80's. We had transformer plates, pacman game cake and all kinds of fun decorations and music. Everyone dressed in 80's. I can't believe that was already four years ago... it goes fast!

We had a theme party too, it was fun. I'm a sucker for theme parties though! LOL! If you don't want to do a party I would just try and do something special that you guys will remember. Maybe get a hotel room for a night or get away for the weekend!

We did a 70's themed party (1973) it was a blast, but as far as a personal gift goes for his 30th I had sexy pictures taken of myself by a photographer (not all porned out playboy, but tasteful pics that you'd see in vogue or a perfume advertisement in a magazine.) Get Sexy little lingerie, pearls around your neck, a little more smoky makeup then normal and gorgeous lips... it was fun, hubby loved it. Now, they are not up in the house, but I know he goes and looks at them often.

Another thing I have done is send my hubby on a scavenger hunt. I've started with www.berries.com and 1) sent a package to his work of chocolate covered berries (that he needs to bring!) and in the message tell him the next place to go - 2) like a wine shop where they are holding a wrapped (and already paid) bottle of Champagne with a note to the next place - 3) a little lingerie shop with an outfit you will plan to wear that night that he is picking up with a note to the location of 4) your hotel room number. Have room service already ordered for when he arrives, eat, drink, try on (then off) your little outfit, and call it one hell of a Birthday! (Oh and have a little cake or cupcake ready too!) This does take planning and timing, but he'll get a kick out of it! - you will too! :-)

LOL... we got him a blow up cane that said Over The Hill! It was hilarious :) He is almost 40 now. So have to think of something new for the big day.

If he's going to be 30, then an 80's themed party would maybe be fun! Nostalgic!

My husband turns 30 in a couple of weeks. He does not want a party, so we're just doing a regular 'just another birthday' celebration with me and my son and husband. I almost always bring some sort of dessert to his work so that he and his co-workers can eat some cake. Maybe have an 80s themed cake?? (Get a small plastic Atari replica or something of the sort). Or a picture of your husband as a young toddler ON the cake (they make photocakes at most grocerystore bakeries). That's all I got.
