My flat screen plasma television has smudge marks on it from my toddler. I was using a microfiber cloth, but now it doesn't seem to do the job. How do you clean the smudges/smears off your flat screen?

What can I do next?

Monitor wipes or monitor cleaner and the cloth provided. I think you have to be extremely careful about what you use on TVs, computers, iPhones and so on. You can buy what you need in any office supply store or electronics store. I would not use anything with water or windex on it.

Go online and find out EXACTLY what THEY say to use. Do not guess, do not do what anyone but the company says.

Follow their instructions.

I have seen TVs totally ruined.. No way they can be repaired.

I went to our local electronics department and got a cleaner with the same brand as our Tv. It came with a cleaning kit, the foam cleaner, and microfiber cloth and instructions. It cleans VERY well and was super cheap.

I wouldn't trust anything else on my Tv.

2 of our tv's are plasma, I use a paper towel with some windex. Light pressure, comes right off!

We have 2 Plasmas and 5 flat screens and I use a baby wipe. Works great for us. Just be very gentle.

I use a wet paper towel with a drop of Dawn on it, the another wet paper towel, then dry.

I have been told this is bad and yet I have never damaged the screen doing it.

Oh but I don't buy scratchy paper towels either.

Oh I also don't use enough water that there is any chance of a run. You get water in that puppy and it will die.

I use soft paper towels with a slight amount of Windex so it is slightly damp but not dripping and I do it when the TV is off. I have an LCD, I don't know if this would work on a plasma. My TVs are about 7 years old and still as good as new.
