So I have a 3 wk old ds and we have been having a terrible time with his diapers leaking. His onesie and pants will be soaked and when I go to change him his diaper is still dry... wth?? Ive never had this problem with my dd, so maybe its a boy thing? i change him constantly so i know its not an issue with that. Not to be tmi but it try to make sure his little man part is pointing down and not off to the side when i change him. we are using huggies diapers right now, but I got some pampers to see if that helps. Any suggestions?? Im getting pretty tired of changing all his clothes 3 - 5 times a day which is how much this is happening.

What can I do next?

Frankly, it could be the brand of diaper just doesn't fit him well. With my children, everything but Pampers leaked like crazy.

it's probably the cut of the diapers around the legs. definitely try switching brands. or perhaps the ones you are using are a size too big.

Huggies were the worst for me.... leaked all the time! Change brands and make sure his boy parts are down :)
Also make sure you are in the right size. Too small or big can make a big difference!

Generally when leaks of pee and poo happened, I was in too small of a size.

Huggies never worked for our sons. We used Pampers. Switch brands and see if it makes a difference.

Good luck!

This happens a lot with those tiny little newborn diapers. I was a bit shocked with my grandson at this age too. I raised four daughters and by the time I get the boys in daycare, they are a few months old and into bigger diapers. Switch to a bigger size diaper. It's okay if he seems to swim in them. :) Congrats on your baby.

I remember having this problem as well with my 2 boys. I think for me it was a huggies thing. But swaddlers as well and they are pampers. It stopped happening when they were about 3 months. I think his diaper might not be on tight enough or is too big. good luck

LOL I need this! Reminded me of the first few days at home with my son. Everytime he peed I had to change his clothes! Then I was told the “secret” point his pp down.

I have a girl so no sure if this would be the same problem, but everytime I stared to see leaking I changed to a bigger size and that stoped. I used Pampers crusiers too which for me were the best.
