Tom Jester is the best Family Law attorney in Denton County. Not only that he was the mayor and also a Judge so he is very well known. I have personally heard several attorney's say that they would go up against pretty much anyone but would not want to go against Tom Jester in a court room.

I have had several friends go through this program, Re-Engage. It's free and wonderful. I've read the best thing we can give our children is a happy and healthy marriage. Wouldn't it be worth one more shot to try to make your marriage work? They also provide free childcare. It every wednesday. There is no beginning or end date... you can start whenever you want.

Just wanted to ease your mind about the visitation your husband will have with your daughter. I went through a seperation with my husband (we've since reconciled) and found out from the attorney I consulted with that the way the law is set up is that your husband will not be having overnight or extended visits with your daughter for quite a while. You most definitely need a great attorney to protect your interests as well as your daughter's. The only attorney I know of in Denton was the one my husband hired and I wouldn't reccomend her to represent my dog. :) Best of luck to you and your daughter.

I searched all over. I think he charges $200/ hour out of court and $250/hour in court. VERY strong word of advice- divorces and custody battles take a long time to pan out completely. DO NOT CALL ANY ATTORNEY alot because each time you call him, each time you email him, each time you leave a message, he charges you for that. But when you do make the most of your time. Write all your questions down and ask them all in one phone call. Keep track of all the times and dates you spoke with you attorney and how long you spoke. Scott does pretty well with charging in 15 minute incriments. All attorneys SHOULD do this.

I am so sorry things did nit work out for you and your husband. I don't have a denton county lawyer ref feral but I am sure you will find one. If you are a SAHM or make little I believe you can get an attorney for free through some county programs. Also, We have discussed this before on here so I believe this is true but your husband can not get week on week off custody until your daughter is 2 or 3 I believe. It is a Tx law and is highly enforced. Rest easy & Good luck!

I believe children under 2 years old do not get to go for overnight visits in Texas - something to find out from a lawyer. Cynthia Burkett is a good family lawyer who works in Denton.
