Hi Mamas!

My nephew is turning 3 in July and I'm helping my sister plan his party. We want to do something interactive and appropriate for his age level. Do you know of anywhere fairly close to the Fremont area that would be fun? I know of pump it up, but I think he's a little too young for that.

Your help is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,
M.

Let me offer my services. I have a family childcare business, and one branch of what I do for the community is children's entertainment. You may view my website at www.earthscreations.info for more detailed information and or call me to chat. I have a duck, rabbit, fire belly toads and a cat. All very children friendly animals that I can pack and move to be set up in a play pen scenario with feeding and petting opportunities. For the young ones. The children at my home day care enjoy these animals daily.
Also I have a wonderful mobile art studio that I could set up with tables and chairs and all that would engage children 2 and up to be creative and make wonderful masterpieces to take home from the party. I use open ended art materials so that every child has original creations from their own ideas rather that cookie cutter projects that all come out the same.

I believe this would be something "interactive and appropriate" for their ages as you suggested.

Thanks
T.

I think he would like pump it up. we had my 3 yr. old son's and 2 yr. old daughter's bday there and they had a lot of fun. If you want to see how he does, take him to an open play day. I know they're open friday mornings. There's also chuck e cheese. We also had one of their parties at kids castle in newark. a park is always great too, you could rent a jumper. I know lil gym also does bday parties too, next to toys r us. good luck

The Silliman Family Aquatic Center in Newark is a lot of fun & they do birthday parties. My 3 year old nephew LOVES it there, as do my 5 & 7 year old kids. For that age group, they would just stay on the one side of the center where the water level is very low. http://www.ci.newark.ca.us/play/recreation.html

I agree, Pump it Up would not be appropriate for his age. Someone could get hurt.
Happy Hallow in San Jose is fun for the little ones. Lake Elizabeth has a playground and a stream- the kids love the stream.
If the child loves crafts, you could do a little party like that at home in the yard.Just painting on paper and decorating a cookie or something like that. Or a kiddie pool, a bubble blowing machine, and ice cream would please a 3 yr old. You could Read a book about a duck or something about water. Young kids this age really don't expect a big hurrah and sometimes it is even too much for them. Simple is better. With only a couple of children.

i just wanted to chime in, because I know you said you thought he was too young for Pump it Up, but have you ever tried Pump It Up Jr? I take my 1 year old to Pump It Up Jr, and he loves it. They only allow children ages 1-6, so it is geared towards the little ones. I have been with a 1 year old, and 18 month old, and a 3 year old, and they all LOVED it.

Good Luck!

How about Sulpher Creek? It is in Hayward and a wonderful outdoors place for a party. They get to meet animals, and the instructor teaches at the level of the party. They do a much of things there and you can BBQ. Another idea is the swim center in Newark or Super Franks (kinda like Chuck E Cheese, but nicer) in Pleasanton. Or just a great park. Three year olds love parks....and might as well go their level because it will quickly change to bigger and better things wanted. Good luck!

I just went to a party at the "Little Gym" next to Toys R Us in Newark/Fremont and the kids had a blast (3 & 4 years old)! They do all kinds of fun stuff. You should go and check it out. Good Luck! :)
