D.,

Most of the schools in SE HSV are very good. I know people whose kids go to Weatherly, Challenger, Chaffee, Hampton Cove, and Mt. Gap. They have all been very happy. Sorry, I don't know of any places for rent.

hey D.! heard great things about Blossomwood, Challenger, and if you want private-Randolph. I don't know where any of them are physically located-so hopefully this is a little helpful!

My family moved here last year from NC. My son was in the first grade. I specifically chose a neighborhood to live in where he could attend Hampton Cove Elementary Schol. The school as well as the staff is wonderful. Their curiculum is a little more advanced than what we were used to but he has done very well. I would go out for a tour one day during hours. {WE did}. Good luck!

Jones Valley Elementary is wonderful. Ask for Mr. Butler as a teacher

Not sure if you're thinking private school or not, but Whitesburg Christian Academy is incredible. We just moved our 2nd grader during winter break. Her class is doing 4th grade math already. The teachers obviously LOVE the students and it makes a world of difference. Just for the record: she came from a school where class size was about the same, but the teachers taught to the lowest common demoninator and anyone who was even slightly advanced was left to his/her own devices while the teachers mostly worked with students who had a more difficult time catching on.

Hi D. - I dont know what you can afford for rent, but I live in Willowbrook Condos next to Grissom High School and the rent is very reasonable for what one gets. There are 2 bedroom w/1400 sf and 3 bedroom for $750 for 1800 sf. You will pay about that for lesser sf all over town. Weatherly has a good kindergarten program, as does Whitesburg Elementary. Depending on your needs and means, hope this helps some. Call me if you want at ###-###-#### if I can help further. Good luck and God Bless

We live in the Hampton Cove/Owens Cross Roads area and my five year old will be attending Hampton Cove Elementary in the Fall. We have a first grader there already. It is a great academic school with lots to offer the children. And it just so happens that the house next to us is recently for Rent. The number to call is ###-###-####. The owners names are Steve and Carrie Turner. The house is very nice with a privacy fenced back yard. The neighborhood is very nice. Hope this helps you. Any questions, feel free to reply.
