Mamas, I am in need of your help once again! I bought a really cute new shirt the other day and spent a little more than I shoud have on it! Well, we are in the process of potty training and my son had an accident in his underwear yesterday. I proceeded to gather up all the laundry I could find and didn't notice that there was a red shirt in the wash with this new shirt, which is beige! Well, it stained the new shirt! I am currently washing it again and sprayed a TON of spray and wash on it! Will this get the stain out? Is there something I can use that would work or is it a lost cause? I sure hope not because the shirt was expensive! Thanks in advance for any advice!

What can I do next?

If rewashing it doesn't work (which it may very well if you didn't dry it)..rit dye makes a color remover, my sister had luck with that, but make sure to read the box, I don't know all the details. GL!

Whatever you do, don't put it in the dryer until you've got the color out!

I can't help you with the stain, but if you bought the shirt with a credit card that offers damage protection for your purchases, you might be able to file a claim and get your money back so you can buy another one. I've never tried this myself, but I know a couple of my credit cards offer this service. Good luck, and sorry to hear about the stain. I hate potty training!

Shout makes wipes that you put in the wash that pulls color out. You might try that.

Hi H.,
Shaklee's Nature Brite should do the trick. I would be happy to send you a sample to use. Let me know if you want it.

Get a tub of Oxiclean stain remover. But don't use it in a regular wash - Place your shirt in a sink full of cool water and sprinkle a scoop of Oxi over the top, let sit for 1-2 hours stirring ocassionally - then throw in the washing machine and wash as normal - the red should be totally gone! I have used this on every stain with 100% success. From chapstick stains, to baby poo, to washing whites with red...etc...I've had great success! Good Luck!

What I've done on things I thought was a "lost cause" is to treat it and wash it over and over without drying it. After a wash, if it still looked stained, I'd just put it back to be washed again. One time my hubby had an ink pen spill on his brand new work shirt. I did this thinking it was ruined but eventually, it got clean. I did this to my daughter's white pants with spaghetti stains and it worked again. I do use Melaleuca products so I'm sure that helped too but try this with however you normally treat your clothes. Good luck!
