I've been using a heating pad on my belly for about thirty minutes the past two days and I just found out that you aren't supposed to do this...so I'm wondering if there's a possibility any damage has already been done? I';m about 9 weeks along

What can I do next?

It doesn't cause your core temperature to rise, does it? That's all you should be concerned about. If that or a bath causes your core temperature to rise to a level similar to a fever, that's when you should not continue it. No harm will be done by it, that's my guess.

Congratullations!

At 9 weeks, you are probably totally fine. The body has a way to protect our little ones while they are super small.

I tend to stay away from anything that will heat me up, but I'm so darned hot all of time! I also stay away from anything electric as much as possible due to the EMFs. I may sound off the deep end, but I would rather error on the side of caution for everything. How many times has science gone back on what they orignally thought was safe? I rarely use a cell phone, I never use a heating pad, but maybe an old school hot water bottle and I don't have any ultrasounds....and I'm pregnant with #4.

Don't stress. 2 days should do NOTHING and for only 30 minutes? If I have pain, I use a really good CalMag supplement, as it's a natural painkiller and muscle relaxant.

I never used one. You can ask your dr. I took lots of warm baths...they really help.

During my pregnancy I also used a heating pad (my 2nd & 3rd) for about 30mins due to very bad cramps. Laying on my side with a pillow under my stomach would help too.

Just to be on the safe side call your advice nurse & congrads on ur bundle of joy!!

It is not good to raise your core body temperature so I would refrain from using a heating pad. When in doubt always consult your OB!
Why are you using one anyways????

It's possible.. Can't say yes or no,It causes your temp. to raise to high that effects the fetus.I would stop using it as you already now know your not suppose to.
