I was wondering if anyone has tried colic calm for reflux or just for the gasiness in their babies. I have a 5 week old daughter who I believe has acid reflux and I'm thinking of trialing colic calm first vs antacids. Please give me some feedback.
Thanks so much.

I highly reccomend the gripe water! I had never even heard of it until my neighbor told me about it. My first baby was fussy (we later found out she was milk sensitve meaning I couldn't drink milk the whole time i was nursing her) so while I was pregnant with my second, I found the gripe water and had it on hand after the delivery, just incase. After he was about 2 weeks old, we went through 2 nights of no sleep with a really crabby baby (not colic, just really fussy). I decided to use the gripe water and he slept for 6 hours! At first, I was scared because I thought maybe I'd drugged him. Not at all the case. It just helped his tummy so much that he finally got some much needed rest. From then on, I was hooked! There are a lot of different brands of gripe water. The one I used was called Colic-ease. Sounds like the colic calm might be the same thing? In European countries, they use it all the time. Here in the States, all anyone knows about is gas drops. The gripe water works so much better and it's all natural.

It can be a little difficult to find. I bought mine at a "Fresh and Natural" food store. I think the Whole Foods stores carry it as well. You can find it on the web and they will link you to stores that carry it. It is definatly worth giving it a try. It's worked for everyone I know.

Good Luck!

I have never heard of this, but also had the same problem with my son, among MANY other things. He went on Prevacid and has been great ever since. He will be a year old in a few days and we have tried to pull him off a few times, but he always ends up sick again, so your baby may need an antacid. Good Luck.

After using gripe water and gas drops to no avail, I found Colic Calm and our days/nights have been tremendously better! Ruby will be 4mo and we I now only use it once a day now. I would totally recommend it and buy more than one bottle. I used it for both gas and acid reflux. Good luck!

My son was a colic baby for 4 years. I used prevacid and gripe water. Some babys are just born with a very sensitive stomach. These items helped. Also rubbing there back or stomach really helps. Talk to your doctor before you try antacids.

I have not heard of colic calm, but I had the same problem with my son when he was a newborn. We used an herbal supplement called gripe water. It seemed to help, but we were never sure whether or not that was the reason. But I'd say it's definitely worth a shot.
