Please help I am in need of a hair stylist/colorist who is an expert with CURLY hair. Those of you with curly locks understand that not everyone understands how to cut and color a head full of curls. I'd love someone in the Chanhassen/Eden Prairie Area but am willing to drive a bit for excellence :)

What can I do next?

Hi J.,

I know you probably got a lot of wonderful referrals, but thought I would throw one more into your options, especially since Edina is not much further than EP:

Therese Adams
Total Image of Edina
6700 France Avenue S #121
###-###-####

Therese has been in the hairstyling business for 28 years (she started at 12!!!) and really has a passion for her work. In fact, her motto is, "I am an artist and hair is my medium!"

I love that since it tells me she takes great pride and perfection in creating masterpieces. Working with you and creating a style and color that truly reflects the image you want, is what she works to accomplish.

Of course, her experience has provided exposure to all types of hair and curly is certainly no match to her skills to connect with her clients and work to give them exactly what they want for look and manageability.

I just saw her the other day and she indicated she is running a special on color ($20.00 off) until the end of October.

Therese generally works the latter part of the week (Thursday - Saturday). She would welcome the opportunity to work with you.

Good luck
s

I go to Jen at Moxie in Uptown. I like her a lot. She markets herself as a curly hair specialist. You could go to their website for more info.

Sanctuary Salon Spa - Eden Prairie

Ask for Alyssa (sp?). She's very expensive, but worth it. I only get my hair cut about every six months, so it's worth it for me. She has blond curly hair herself.

Hi
I too have curly hair and hated it for 35 years, now most days I love it. I have found an amazing hair dresser who loves to work on curly hair and knows what she is doing, my hair has never looked so good and I get compliments on it all the time. She works at Moxie hair salon in Uptown - Lyndale Avenue. They do have a website, but can't remeber what it is. I know it is about a 25 minute drive from Eden Prairie, but so worth it. I have gone from triangle/poodle head to a beautiful cut. She suggested things I never would have thought would work. Moxie is a very trendy salon and when I first went there I wondered what I had let myself in for, but she works wonders. She charges $40. I found her on a website called naturallycurly.com and read reviews about her that other people had posted. She does not have a curly hair on her head, but loves to work with it. If you want any more info let me know

I don't know what end of town you're in but I can Highly recommend Jae Rosengren. She's with Onyx salon.

She's so good that I drive from Eden Prairie out to see her.
When she moved, I moved.
She is a color specialist and can cut and style like nobody else.
Good luck to you.
