My husband and I are looking into putting out 14 month old daughter into some sort of gymnastics class. I am having a difficult time getting information on any classes in the Amarillo area. Any advise would be great! Thanks

When my son was that age we enrolled him with Amarillo Developmental Gymnastics. It is located on 45th street by Abuelo's. You should be able to find them in the phone book. It is a mommy and me type class, and the kids learn trampoline, trapeeze, rock walls, slides, etc. They also sing and receive rewards. My son absolutely loved it. I think we paid around $30 to $40 per month. We also tried Amarillo College Gymnastics, but did not like it near as much. They made the kids stretch for like 10-15 minutes, which does not work for two year olds! Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions.

My daughter and I go to open hours at Cheer Texas (on Soncy, south of the loop) pretty often, and it's a good way for her to play with other kids and enjoy the equipment. They are able to use the trampolines, the foam pit and mats and have 2 bouncy houses blown up. They have open hours Mondays and Fridays from 10:30 to 12:30, and the cost is $5 per child.

We enjoyed the Amarillo Developmental Gymnastic Center. Its fun and family owned.
