My step-daughter is turning 10 years old this year and I'm looking for some great ideas on what to do for her. My husband and I are already taking her to Florida with her new baby sister as her BIG gift, but I was also thinking of doing a spa day with a limo ride, etc. I've checked on party prices at Sweet & Sassy, but their packages are pretty pricey! Does anyone have any other great ideas??

What can I do next?

I can help you host a scrapbooking party! for 12 kids cost is $50 and includes supplies. Just have each kid bring 10-12 pictures! I do the rest. Each child will create a mini scrapbook of their favorite pictures. Your stepdaughter would love it! I do several of these parties! But to get this deal I need to know by next week! Feel free to call me ###-###-#### or ###-###-####

I also wanted to tell you I will make the invitations also!

My daughter loves having a slumber party with 5 or 6 of her best friends over to spend the night. We usually do pizzas and a cooler full of caffeine free cokes. We take them to the movie theater to watch a little "chick flick", or roller skating, or ice skating, or bowling. We have done something different every year. Then we come home and eat cake and ice cream, open presents, and let them camp out in the den with a couple of the latest little "chick flick" videos.

Libby Lu's in Cool Springs mall is supposed to be cute, a dress up and pampering place. It may be pricey too.

You can go to just any mani/pedi spa and just pay for them to get a pedicure, they don't need the whole deal at some pricey place especially for kids. You can have her choose 4-5 of her close friends to have it done.

Have a sleepover and do all thier nails and toenails yourself! They can watch a movie, stay up late, eat cake, eat popcorn, do each other's hair, etc YOu can have a friend stay over with you too, one of the little girl's moms and you can all have a sleep over and the moms can do the girl's nails and hair! Or, just let the girl's sleep over and they will be happy enough!

Do they skate? A skating party might be fun, I don't have kids that age so maybe just ask her what she would like...

Fun! W.

For my girls I did this type of party at home, and I don't have a big home. My mom painted fingernails, my neice did hair and I ran around! We had three stations - one for coloring special wooden dolls and one each for the others. We then had a fashion show and the girls danced. I found hairpieces at Claires and Justice and they had these put in when having their hair done. This was also one of the party favors. They also had their hair glitter sprayed. They had favor bags with makeup, nailpolish, etc. We were together 1 1/2 hours for 8 girls and the time flew. Hardly had time for cake and gifts.
