I will be flying with two kids in the near future and want to get a new portable dvd player. Our current one was given to us and was super cheap--hence it often goes to a black screen. You can hear sound, but can't see anything. I would prefer one that uses batteries and doesn't solely rely on being hooked into the car or a plug. However, we can't spend a ton and are looking at about $100 for one. If anyone has one that has been good for them in this price range, please let me know!! Thanks!
i don't know about buying, yet when i travel with my kids, i rent one. the phoenix airport has a shop called 'inmotion', you can rent it and drop it off at the other side or borrow for the round trip, borrow movies from your library or rent from your movie store/netflix to make it less expensive.
we just bought a phillips from walmart for about $80.00 and a carrying case for another 15. so far our is working great!!!
I don't really know the brands of a heap one but have tried the pawn shops. Sometimes they still have the merchandise still int he box and you don't pay as much as you would at major retailer. just a thought good luck.
You should check out Amazon.com. They have a good variety and free shipping. They have the best prices and alot of info on the products.
I found mine on E-bay for a great price...well worth it, if you ask me! Mine has 2 screens, so it's probably not what you are looking for, but give e-bay a try if you are looking to get a good one for a great price.
