Call Michelle at Alchemy...we just started going to her, and she is really, really good. She cuts the whole family's hair, and we all have very different hair, and every cut is great. My son has straight thick hair that has always been a challenge and she gave him the cutest cut I've ever seen. Totally, completely recommend her. Plus she's really sweet and fun to talk to.
I'm not much for frou-frou hair salons, but I really like the ladies at One Stop (on 4th street just north of Montano, in the weird little strip on the east side of 4th). The salon is decent, prices are excellent, the ladies are friendly, and they got me in and out in about 20 minutes (I was a walk-in on a Saturday).
I really like The Sanctuary Salon. It's near Coronado Mall. Mari Gross is a genius with color! The atmosphere is great as well!
