We are looking to switch from Huggies to a generic brand of diapers. Do you have any recommendations? (Pampers always leak for this little guy)

What can I do next?

Who knows what will work for you, but Target brand is good. We don't use them, becasue they are really papery feeling, though.

We really liked the White Cloud diapers. Our ds who used them was a Pampers baby, though. Our second has always gotten a rash from anything but Pampers, so I'll be curious what other brands moms recommend.

The Costco (Kirkland) diapers are great! They are just like Huggies! I can't use pampers with my youngest due to leaking but the Huggies and now Kirkland work great.

I always had bad luck with generic diapers (even the White Cloud that so many moms recommended). If you like Huggies, you can go to their website and sign up for their mailing list and they'll send you coupons and free samples all the time. With the coupons, I found that Huggies were the same price as the generics. And if you can find Huggies on sale, even cheaper than generics.

I have tried many brands and will share my 2 cents!:

White Cloud (Walmart) - love them! They are a good price and we have nothing but good experiences with them. They fit my kids just like Huggies.

Parents Choice (Walmart) - don't recommend. They get soggy really fast and don't keep their shape when worn dry for very long or soiled. I felt like we were using more diapers which wasn't a savings.

Costco brand - We didn't have a good experience with these. My son would wet the diaper once and it would seep through the diaper and get his clothes wet. I change diapers often and so it wasn't happening after hours and hours. I know many people have great luck with this brand and would suggest trying it.

Luvs - We have tried these but be careful if your little one has sensitive skin. There is a scented gel strip inside the diaper that my daughter is allergic to. I feel Luvs are the generic Pampers and neither work for us.

Target Brand - yuck! We did not like these at all. I was forced to buy some at Christmas because the shelves were bare and we didn't like the shape, tabs, absorbancy or anything about them.

Good luck!

If you have a Sams Club or costco membership their generic diapers are nice. I used them all the time with my first son and was pleased with how much money I saved. I did find however that with my second baby they did not work as well, he is quite chunky and I think that may be why. I ended up still having to use Huggies for him to prevent leaks.

I know someone told you not to use these but we love them. We use Parent's Choice from Wal-mart. We have used them for both of our kids, my sisters have used them for their kids, my in-laws have used them for their kids. We have never really had a problem. They are more affordable, and work well. However I have known people whos kids were allergic to them. I would also suggest White Cloud, or the one's from Sam's Club and Costco. I have known many people who used those and loved them.

Yes, white cloud. Fair price at walmart. Parent's choice and luvs I thought both got full and squishy and leaky way fast. I've used white cloud for years now and I hope they work for you too.

I just want to say every child is different our youngest little girl just turned 7 months and I only can use Luvs on her. Huggies, Pampers, Safeway brand etc she leaks right out of. If you are looking to try generic I would only buy one pack and try to see how it works on your child.

Wal-Marts White Cloud brand is really good, those are the only generic ones I will buy, but you could switch to Luvs, they are cheaper then the name brands but work just as nice, and I like their smell also. What ever you do stay away from Wal-Marts yellow packaged brand, it has ducks on it, one pee and you need to change them and don't expect them to stay dry at night.
