Fitness Center Needed in Corinth Area

So, I am considering joining a gym, but am so picky about the childcare facilities. I live in Corinth, and although I LOVE Lifetime, it is just too far for me to drive, esp. during the times I could go. So, I need to avoid crossing over the lake bridge. Any great ideas. I went to Lady of America and walked out within 10 minutes after seeing their childcare. I want my kids to want to be there, almost to the point that they request to go!! I also have an infant, so that is really important too. Any great gym ideas in the Corinth/Denton area?? Thanks moms ~A.~

So What Happened?

OK, so upon reading my request I realized that I made Lady of America sound bad without stating my problem. First of all, my only childcare experience at a gym has been at Lifetime, and if you dont know this already, their childcare is AMAZING!! That said, my biggest problem with LOA was the lack of security. There was no real sign in/out procedure other than to sign a piece of paper. I am just not comfortable with that. The women working there did not ask any questions about my kids, nor even move to greet them for that matter. I honestly just did not get a good vibe, so I left them for about 10 minutes, and the ladies there never moved from the seat they were in, and no, they were not holding kids or anything like that. I may have higher standards than some, but that just left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope not to offend anyone, and am glad that you have had a good experience there, but it just was not what I was looking for.

Hey A. - I also have been going to Lady of America for three years and hove lots of my girlfriends who go with. My 18mo loves it. We have never had any issues with the childcare. What did you see that day??? - It really concerns me as I HIGHLY reccomend this gym to lots of mommys!!! The classes are great and the staff is super friendly. Let me know if I am missing something!

A., can you tell me what you didn't like about Lady of America? Just wondering, because I went there and really didn't see an issue--it was clean and there were two ladies in there watching the kids. My experience is that most health club childcare facilites are about the same. There is a TV playing a video, some toys, a rocker for infants. Since most women wouldn't leave their kids there for more than about an hour to an hour and a half, there is not much else. But if you saw something that I need to know, please tell me!
Thanks, C.

Hi A., my husband just joined Brickhouse Gym by Unicorn Lake where the new Cinemark Theater is. I know they have childcare, but I can't tell you what it's like because I do not have a membership there. There membership is month to month unlike some others where you have to do a yearly membership.

A.,
I have a friend who works for Around the Clock Fitness. It is it front of Wal-Mart, kind of by Cato Fashions. I am not sure if they have Childcare, but I do know they are open 24 hours. Call or go by in the evenings and ask for Missy.
