I cried. That was beautiful. It's sad how we forget how beautiful we are and just start to pick away at ourselves. Thanks to you J. and Dove, for reminding us.

Thank you for posting the link. Dove is truly innovative in it's approach. I suspect the campaign was created by a fellow mother. I recommend the mentoring girls portion of the Dove site. My 15 year old and I did an exercise where we each were to say 5 things we liked about the other and 5 things we liked about ourselves. What an eye opener!!

I'm going to share your link with my daughters when they get home. Thank you for posting it.

That is an amazing project and ad! I've never see. This ad run on tv.
It informs what we already know deep down: we are our is worst critics.
O. word, phrase, incident for our childhood can resonate in our brains decades later! We need to be VERY aware if this as moms--of girls AND boys. Thanks for posting this.

Wow--that was beautiful and so telling. No more than ever (raising a girl, age 7 and a boy, age 4), I monitor all my words. It's so hard to try to 'undo' all the messages they get in our society. Thanks so much for sharing, J.!
