No. I have the 16GB 4s and I am already at 7 GB and I've only had it for a couple weeks. I did put my entire itunes on there, so I will start taking off songs I don't listen to frequently once i figure out usage. But that's not taking into account all the pics I will snap in the next couple of weeks.

I can't tell you exact... cuz I'm a work - but some of my apps are HUGE.

I would not get the 8GB.

Now having said that... something is better than nothing. Now that I've had an iPhone I would get an 8GB over anything else in the entire world if it came down to that choice. but I would definitely pay the extra money and go up one size.

I had an 8gb with 2 full lenght movies and about 350 songs with room to spare, oh yeah and a ton of apps. IF you have the extra funds go for the bigger one, OR buy two 8gb iphones if you're having to share.

If possible, get the max GB.

For a phone, yes, 8gb should be plenty. But if you want to use it as an iPod where you have your whole iTunes on it or TONS of files, then it would be better to go bigger.

Most people I know have the 8gb and are not even close to being at maximum capacity. It just depends on what you plan to use it for.

We made the mistake of buying my daughter an 8GB itouch the first time around and it could not hold all she wanted. She was just downloading music and TV shows and a movie. So from there on out we always opt for more GB's because it is easier to pay for them up front then pay for another device. I know you asked about the iphone but I assume you would want even more GB's for that because of the additional capabilities.
