I guess this question is good for any food chopper, I just happen to have the pampered chef one...

Can you put it in the dishwasher? I usually put the parts in the dishwasher and they do fine, but can you put the big piece in there?

What can I do next?

Yes, you can put it in the dishwasher. I love mine, and do it all the time. They only thing that might happen is the blade might get dull. But I think thats the only downfall to putting it in the dishwasher.

I've always put mine in the top rack without any problems.

I put the entire chopper in the dishwasher on the top shelf. Just position it so the parts are open and can't close during the spray part of the cycle. I have had mine for years and every part has been washed multiple times.

Yes I do - I'm a Pampered Chef Consultant. All of the parts of the PC chopper can go in the dishwasher - on the TOP rack only. Just pull all the pieces apart - white silicone cup, clear collar, blade guard and the biggest piece. I usually carefully flare out the sides of the main piece and wedge it a little inside the dishwasher rack so the water gets everywhere. I make finely chopped egg salad with mine and it gets really messy. It comes out of the dishwasher clean every time.

Toss it all in R.! In my house, if it doesn't have a plug, it goes IN!
