Hello-

I was just wondering if anyone had any cute ideas for how to tell our parents that we are pregnant again. I have a 19 month old son right now. I will be able to tell my in-laws in person, but my parents live too far away, so if you have any ideas for either situation I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,
T

My sister-in-law had her first ultrasound photo made into photo greeting cards and wrote Guess who's going to be a big brother? She happened to call me right as I was picking up the mail, and got to hear my reaction over the phone. It was so cool!

Have your son wear a tshirt that says "Big Brother" or something to that affect. Then just have him walk around in it and see if they notice. If your parents are far away, take some pics of your son in the shirt and just send a random email with the pics as attachments showing off some "Cute Recent Pics" and see if they notice.

When we told my in laws, we had our oldest wear the ''Big Brother'' shirt. We had been at her house for well over an hour and She never said a word. It was my husband's step-dad that finally put two and two together...They were not excited though...I thought they would be:(

I *love* "Daddy says send $$$"! That's hilarious!

My husband was out of town when I discovered I was pregnant the second time. I made him a couple of t-shirts. One said "Big Brother In Training" and the other had "Brother to Bee" with a bumble bee on it. I told my husband I made a couple of shirts for our son. My husband fought torrential rain, two flat tires and a transmission fluid leak to get home. When he boated his car into our driveway at 2am, I figured he needed some good news, so I showed him the shirts.

We just called family members. They were not so enthusiastic. I'm glad I didn't do anything major.

Pick up some baby toys and send them with a note that says open on (due date). I like the tee shirt idea also.
You could send flowers to your dad for fathers day and on the card say 'guess who's gonna be a grandpa again'.

My friend did a little post card type of thing...
She made the heart symbol with her hands and placed it over her tummy and they took pictures and sent it out to everyone. Put something on there like "here comes baby number 2" or "daddy says send money"

Instead of flowers, we went online and found a cute gift basket that was made into a lamb filled with baby bottles, pacifiers burp rags etc. On the card I put a poem that said "Roses are red, Violets are blue, Will I be a boy or a girl....You will know soon." I had these sent to all the parents. They loved them. Not to mention, they gave us the stuff back so we were able to the merchandise for our son.

I only have one child but it was an unexpected pregnancy. We did not tell the family until after my first appointment, I wanted to make sure all was good. For my family, we are all very close and have coffee on Saturday mornings together at my parent’s house and some times buy each other "Cause Gifts" just because. Well, I scanned the ultrasound and put a red arrow pointing to the tiny spot. Then I typed on top "Hey Granny, I can’t wait to meet you in November! Love, Peanut" I made one for each family member then put each on in a frame, maybe 5x8. It was inexpensive and different. I had them open at the same time. It took a few minutes to get it and they all went crazy with excitement. My son is almost 5 and they still have their frames. :)
The nickname Peanut stuck around while i was pregnant. If you have a cute nickname you could use that.
Good Luck!!

Recently my friends posted a picture of their son and daughter wearing "I'm the big sister/brother" t shirts on Facebook! You could send them one via email too or a card you make..Cute, and congrats! I'd have your son wear the big brother t-shirt to your in laws house and watch when they notice what it says!

My son and his wife surprised us on Mother's Day with news they were expecting again. Our grandbabies will be 18 months apart. I recieved a package with the ultra sound picture in it for my Mother's Day present. We live in Texas and they live in Virginia so this was a special way to let us know.

how about sending them a pacifier with a funny note such as:"oops...we did it again!" or similar..or a photo of your child wearing the shirt: "i'amgoing to be a big brother!"..or a cake sporting a statement about becoming gparents again...there are so many things you can think of, have fun and congrats again!!!

I made post cards with my first. It had a preggy belly and the words " Do not open till labor day". I printed the EDD

I made a couple of other ones that I may have laying around here I would male them to you if I could find them but I stored them somewhere and my old brain don't know where they're hidden.

One had a crystal ball and the the faint print "baby" in it and the words " A baby is in our future" On the back it said, " as well as dirty diapers and sleepless nights."
