Can Anyone Recommend a Pediatrician Willing to Space Out Vaccines?

I am looking for a pediatrician referral. I live in the Mars/Cranberry area. I currently take my son to a pediatrician that is over an hour away. I would like to find a new doctor that is a little closer to where I live before my son is due for his 6 month appointment. I am looking for a pediatrician that is willing to space out his vaccines. Does anyone on here see a pediatrician that has been willing to space out the vaccines or even hold off on some of them until your child is a little older??? Thanks.

What can I do next?

Hi K.,

We go to Dr. Scott on Rt 288 in Mars. His office is great and I'm sure they would space out the vaccines for you. I would make an appt for a consultation and ask about it.

We go to the Pediatric Alliance practice, which has multiple offices north of Pittsburgh. They have a website that you can visit to see where they're located. My neighbor also takes her kids there and told me that they were able to space out some of her kids vaccines when she told the doctor about her concerns.

I have heard wonderful things about Dr. Scott (others reccomeneded him to you too.) I took my oldest to Pediatric alliance, and had major issues with them and very quickly switched doctors (they inssisted that my son be on preventative medication for something he did not have and refused to let us see a specialist for a chronic problem.) If nothing nearer to you works out, I go to a wonderful family dr in Ellwood city (Dr. Rahall) that has no problems with my choice not to vaccinate at all. I explained my concerns and he completely respects my descisions and there is no pressure at all. At our well visits, he just asks if we are still not vac. and he says ok.

Children's Community (in Moon, but they have an office in Cranberry) was recommended to us for this reason. The original dr. recommended was not open to spacing, but another dr. has been very understanding and says he works with parents who do all kinds of different things. You may want to call the local office near you and give it a shot.

Hi K.,

I am a 35 year old mother of 4 and I take my kids to Dr. Howard K Scott and Dr. Morganti. They have their own practice and are willing to space out your vaccinations, especailly, Dr Scott. I would start with him because he believes children should have them but he says its your child your choice so he's flexible. Hope you like him.
