My daughter and grandkids live in Lithia and go to Dr. Florencio Nadel who has an office in Brandon and Bloomingdale. He has been their family pediatrician for many years and is great!

Pediatric Healthcare Alliance has multiple offices, I see many people recommended Tappan at the fishhawk office, we transferred our daughter at 1 week old to the Brandon office, which is also the office that offers after hours care and weekend hours for the entire practice. We love them... Drs. Jeansonne, Hoseman and Trubelhorn are all WONDERFUL. We are now expecting child number 3 and they've been there for us every step of every child's development!! MOST of all, they are true supporters of breast feeding which was my biggest focus as a new mother.

Dr. Christopher Tappan at Pediatric Health Care Alliance-Fishhawk Office is excellent. He has been seeing my twins since they were born (2 yrs ago). He is very kind and always makes time, at every visit, to answer all of our questions, which was especially comforting when they were newborns. Also, Dr.Tanya Liberato in their new Apollo Beach office is great too.

My children have been cared for by Dr. Jorge Montane since birth. His office is located right across from the library on Vonderburg and is within walking distance to Brandon Hospital. Both of my daughters actually look forward to their appointments because of his kind and gentle ways.

We have never had a problem getting an appointment and the staff is very helpful too. Plus it is nice to know that there are two waiting rooms...for the healthy kids and the sick kids.

Here is the address and phone number...

602 Vonderburg Drive, Suite 102
Brandon, FL 33511

Hi B., I asked the same question a couple of months ago, and got hooked up with Dr. Rebecca Pruitt at Premier Care Pediatrics out in FishHawk.  She is AMAZING!  It's a good little drive for us to get there, but it is totally worth it.  The office is so kid friendly - each exam room is decorated in a different theme, and there are 2 waiting rooms, one for sick kids and one for healthy kids (with Nickjr type shows and lots of kids books to keep them occupied.  That being said, my kids are usually disappointed because we don't have to wait - they get us right in!)  My kids call her "the fun doctor".  All the staff there are very friendly, and interact with the kids, make them feel comfortable.  When you call, you get a REAL PERSON! Not a series of "press 1..." She has been right on in diagnosing things with my kids, and when we've needed referrals to specialists, or some other thing, she makes it happen.  The other doctor that works in that office seems great, too. I highly recommend them both! Best of luck!

We take our boys to Healthpoint on Bloomingdale and Bell Shoals. There are three women doctors there: Dr. Smoak, Dr. Silva, and Dr. Mankodi. I have interacted with each doctor and they are all very caring. The nurses are great--really seem to love their jobs and the kids. I highly recommend them. Their web address is www.healthpointmedicalgroup.com

Good luck.

I take my daughter to Healthpoint on Bloomingdale and Bell Shoals. Their number is ###-###-#### and they are on 873 E. Bloomingdale Avenue. Her doctor is Dr. Mankodi. This doctor is amazing and I would suggest you request to have her as your child's doctor. She truly loves babies and children and you can see it whenever you go there. She comes in and just starts talking about what should be going on at this age/stage in your baby/child's life, offers samples of formula, and answers any questions you have without the whole I'm busy attitude. I just had a baby girl who turns 4 months today. I've been taking her there and I'm so happy. So much that I'm going to transfer my son from his doctor, Dr. Nadal, to this one. It seems they have a system where they are very friendly. From the person at the desk to the nurses, etc. They all speak directly to children, call them by name and befriend them to make them feel comfortable.

I take my son to Dr. Robert Peleaz (Dr. Bob), he was the third pediatrician we tried and have been with him since our son was 6 weeks old, he is now almost three. I absolutely love him and his staff. They always get us in immediately, I have never had to wait for an appointment. I call in the morning when they open and he is in that day. They are located near the library in Brandon. I highly recommend him. His number is ###-###-####

I am writing to echo the sentiments about Dr. Rebecca Pruitt at Premier Care Pediatrics. We live in FishHawk Ranch, and their practice is right on FishHawk Boulevard, which is very convenient for us. The thing that you may be able to use being a new mom will be that, if you need a doctor after regular office hours, you actually get Dr. Pruitt or Dr. Minnick on the phone and they will speak to you personally about your child's problem. If need be, they can meet you in the office over the weekend, which is worth LOTS, especially when waiting 24-48 hours over the weekend seems impossible! I could say more, but I think you get the idea! Definitely make an appointment to meet them, tour the office, etc. You won't be disappointed! :)

Dr. Montane or Dr. Bob Perez are both great and are both in the same office across from the Brandon Library, nearby to Brandon Hospital. The phone number is ###-###-####. I have taken my two kids there ages 6 and 10 since we moved here over a year ago and have had nothing but wonderful experiences with them. They will try and fit you in for last minute appointments and the staff from front desk, the nurses and pediatricians are all warm and caring. They accept most insurance that I know of and the office is rarely running too far behind so you don't have to worry about long waits with your kiddos. Good luck!
