I can't recommend a surgeon. But when I was in Virginia, I had multiple friends of mine have the surgery and were all able to get insurance to pay most of it because they were causing health issues and extreme back pain. If you are having issues you may want to talk to your primary about it and see if there is anything to be done as far as insurance goes. I remember seeing one friend's bills and they were close to $30K before insurance.

I haven't had it done yet but looked in reduction and the insurance side of it. I was told that if it was causing health issues like back ache, etc insurance will cover it. I actually have been seeing a chiropractor because of this and he even said that since I have been seeing him for issues related to having large breasts insurance will most likely cover the cost of it. I also read an article that most insurance companies will cover a reduction since it is done more for health reasons unlike augmentation and implants.

Good Luck!

I had a reduction several years ago. And haven't refgretted it once. I used Dr Byron Brown. He works with Baylor Dallas. His office is downtown as well. He did a great job. I don't have much scarring andboth sides are perfectly even. Your insurance might covet some. I didn't have insurance at tje time. I paid the hospital $1500. And the doctor $5000. He let me pay it out. I paid $1000 a month to him. The only negative thing I have to say is I was told that it it wouldn't effect breast feeding as he said he didn't touch the milk ducts during surgery. I did not breastfeed as my milk never really came in. But Then again. Who's to say it wouldn't have done that amyway.

I highly recommend Dr Fred Hackney. I didn't use him for breast reduction, but I used him for breast augmentation. Wonderful office staff and wonderful doctor. If you search him you will see how many times he has been chosen DFWs top doctor. Very happy with him and my results.

Im saving up for my surgery in march! Its a birthday gift to me from myself and my husband :). Im going with Dr. Jeff Angobaldo in Plano. I work for a local Plano hospital and he is the plastic surgeon there so thatvis how I chose him. He is wonderful as far as bedside manor, personality and office staff is wonderful. I have been working with them to get my insurance to cover a portion if not all of the procedure. They have been patient, persistent and treat it like its their own procedure they are fighting for. I love them and the price he quoted me is $6500.

I love my dr

http://www.drmartinplasticsurgery.com/

He has done breast augmentation on my breasts twice. I had elongated aureolas which he reduced and had saline implants at the same time. My implants failed after 12 years, so he gave me new silicone implants this past spring. Love them!

Dr. Martin is a wonderful dr and person. He is married with two daughters and understands the concerns of a woman.

As for the cost, you really have to go in and get an estimate. My aug was $5K but I think a reduction varies based on the patient situation and insurance.

Good luck!

Dr. David Genecov and Dr. Carlos Barcelo are excellent plastic surgeons. I work with them on their pediatric cases in my ICU (they do a lot of craniofacial plastic surgery) and they do excellent work. Dr. Barcelo is a wonderful, caring doctor, too - a very kind man.

They offer a free consultation, so you could get your financial questions answered as well as find out what the procedure would be like, recovery time, etc. www.genecovplasticsurgery.com
