Hello,

Does anyone have a recommendation for a place to host a 3 year old's birthday party in the Westmont/Downers Grove/Darien/Woodridge area? We are new to the area and temporarily renting a very small apartment, so we have no room to host it ourselves. There will be about seven children (all preschoolers) in attendance.

Thanks!

What can I do next?

Hi B.,

Check out the online Birthday Party Guide at www.kidwinks.com. You'll find some featured places, and toward the bottom, in the yellow area, you'll see a link that says "Click here for a list of all birthday party places". That link will give you a list of a few hundred area birthday party places. If you become a member of kidwinks, which is free, you can then sort that list in order of distance from you house.

Here's the direct link to the Birthday Party Guide: http://www.kidwinks.com/ForKids/6/KidsBirthdayPartyPlaces...

Kidwinks is also a fabulous resource for finding things to do with your kids. The Events Calendar is full of kid-friendly events, the Ongoing Activities Section is a great place to click through for ideas on indoor/outdoor activities, bike trails, museums, nature centers, etc. In the Restaurants Section, you'll find a Kids Eat Free Calendar - just click on a day to find out where kids eat free (or cheaply) on that day. There are many other specialty guides you'll find, too: for Indoor Play Areas, Halloween, Fall Fun, etc.

Have fun and good luck with the party!

J.

We did Pump It Up in Lisle for my son's 4th birthday and the kids all loved it. They had a party room set up for the cake and presents after the 1 1/2 hours in the bounce rooms. We thought it was very reasonable considering all we really had to do was show up. They took care of everything else.

There's Chucky Cheese in Darien and the park districts offer bday parties too. You can look on line at your town or nearby towns.

All Aboard Cafe on 75th street did a great job with my son's 3rd birthday. My group was chaotic and they got it all right. We really enjoyed it.

I see someone mentioned pump it up. We were guests at a party there. It seemed like they took care of everything but writing out the thank you cards. The kids and all their parents seemed to gave a great time and be thoroughly worn out and ready for a nap after the party.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but Little Monkey Bizness in Wheaton or Western Springs is perfect for that age group.
