Hello all,

We just moved here for Arlington VA, my daughter is going to be 3 in less then a month and we want to through her a great party, the townhouse we are renting right now is way to small to hold a large group of people, so is there anywhere in the Jefferson County area to throw a great party, I thought about a park and renting out one of the picnic areas but my biggest thing is what if it rains or storms then I'm in trouble so I would like to have it indoors. Thanks so much in advance!

What can I do next?

Much of the time, rec centers and/or YMCAs have facilities they will rent out for things like that. Or occasionally churches do that as well.

Hi! Welcome to Colorado. You might want to try the Apex Center. It's a pretty awesome indoor pool, but it might be a bit overwhelming for 3yr olds. If you don't mind driving into Denver, the Children's Museum does birthday parties and that would be a perfect place for that age group. Or try the ButterflyPavilion, my kids love that place! And there's a place called PumpItUp, which is one of those places which have inflatables that you can jump around on. Kids and parents love it! I'm sure there are a bunch of other places that just aren't coming to mind right now, but you'll probably get lots of good suggestions here. Have fun!!

HI, Hope you are adjusting to the different lifestyle here in CO. I was a Pre-k teacher and now a SAHM of 2 girls. Here are my ideas...just look up addresses...all are local!
Casa Bonita resteraunt
Bumbles house of bounce
Children's museum
Mcdonalds
Chuck-e cheese (resteraunt)
Spagetti Factory
Michael's (craft store...a fun thing...each kid gets to do a project)
Build-a bear
Denver puppet theater
Rec centers
Denver Zoo
Luke's farm
White Fence Farm
Hope this helps! It actually helped me to refresh my memory of these places, as I too will be planning a B-D party soon!
Best wishes!

Hi C.,

It looks like you live in Littleton in Jefferson County. I would look to having something at Lilly Gulch Rec. Center. They have a great gymnastics training center that you can rent w/or w/o a party package. I know you're worried about rain, but Clement Park also has lots for kids to do w/great shelters to rent. Plus it rarely rains for more than 20 minutes. Lastly, you might consider doing something at Mr. Biggs. I hear they have a nice place called "Little Mr. Biggtown". All of these places are on-line, so just google the place and I am sure their sites will be listed. I hope this helps.

We just did a party at Bellview Park. It was great. As someone else said, the rain is short, and we're really past the rainy season, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Coloradans really do live by the saying "If you don't like the weather, wait ten minutes. It'll change." No one you invite will even worry about rain. They'll be used to just waiting it out. No big deal. White Fence Farm is one of our kids favorites and mine from childhood. It's great. You can also get Dining Dollars which gives you a price break on it (30%, I think), but I don't know if they are applicable with parties. Have fun!
