My son is going to be 4 in October (yikes!) Looking for some birthday gift ideas from my husband & I along with family members. We just bought him a 2 wheeler since he had a major growth spurt recently & outgrew his tricycle! Looking for inexpensive ideas since he will be having a family party too. His interest include drawing, swimming, CARS, Dora & riding his bike. Thanks!

So What Happened?

Thanks so much for the suggestions. We do have the TAG system (which he loves) & a scooter. I think I am going to look into some "real" tools since he loves to help Daddy around the house! Thanks again!

My son loves his Radio Flyer My 1st Scooter. It has 3 wheels so he is able to balance fairly easily. My son also just got an Aqua Doodle that he likes to draw on. I am trying to get him to practice his writing skills on there as well. He also really likes his legos, playdoh and puzzles. My son is also all boy so he loves CAT construction vehicles...or basically any 'diggers' as he calls them.

We're a "no technology" family for our kids, so I'd suggest an easel, new crayons, new goggles, vintage matchbox cars (look on eBay), Spanish books to be like Dora or dress up costumes.

Our little friend who just turned 4 got a Cars Computer. It's pretty neat and plays little games and stuff. THey have a ton of Cars merchandise like that and I noticed a lot of it was on sale recently at Target, you may want to check it out!

Do you swim indoors at all during the fall and winter? If so Old Navy has cute suits for $4 and most swim toys are starting to go on sale, so you could stock up so that he has new, cool toys to use this fall. Towels are also going on sale and you could get a Cars one.

Toys R Us is also having pretty big sales on all their Crayola stuff so you could also get some of that stuff and store it away.

Our son just turned 5, but for Christmas he got a Leapfrog Tag and some books. Now we can always let people know and they can get him a book. Also Moon Dough and Moon Sand have been big hits ... just keep them away from little sibs.

My son will be four in November. Some of his favorite toys are his stomp rocket and his marble run. I found both on amazon.com. He also recently fell in love with a tool set by Discovery Toys that has working tools that he can use to assemble motorcycle and airplane toys.
He also loves Little Critter books by Mercer Mayer (sp?) and loves going to the movie theater.
Good luck!

My little guy loves to dress up as superheros, so any sort of costume would be my suggestion. Oh yah, and he loves swords!

Our son will turn 4 during the holidays, and we are planning to get him a Leapfrog Explorer (others can get some games) for bday and a remote control car/truck for the holidays. That's our thought for now!
