Can anyone recommend a local bakery in orange county that doesn't use eggs in a birthday cake? My son is very allergic to eggs, even in ice-cream.

What can I do next?

An excellent bakery is Black Forest Bakery - in Lake Forest - I am sure they will do custom work for you.

Don't know a name of one, but my niece is VEGAN (no animal products at all) by choice and had a Vegan cake for her graduation (San Diego). It was DELICIOUS! Her mom just asked the bakery to do it custom order-- so call your local bakery and see what they can do.

I haven't tried this place so I can't say how stuff tastes, but the stuff they bake is egg, dairy, nut, gluten and soy free (what do they use??). It is called Green Cupcakes and More, phone is ###-###-#### and website is greencupcakes.com. Hope this helps (so it took me so long to reply I couldn't find the advertisement :) If you end up trying them, let me know how it tastes! Thanks and hope he has a great B-Day

Hi:

I can't recommend a bakery but I can recommend something I think is much better - to cure your son of his allergies via naet (Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Techniques). I have been cured of many allergies, as have 2 of my grand children, and my daughter in law. I love my doctor and will give you his name and phone number if you would like, as well as the website for naet so you can look into it for yourself or use their physician locator service. The procedure is non-invasive and for infants and the infirm, can be done through a surrogate.

Check some of the catering places here http://www.vegparadise.com/yellowpages.html

If you contact a Vegan Catering place, they should have some options. Even just calling and saying "What I'm really looking for is a place that will make a reasonablely prices egg free birthday cake." I have a friend that is a baker for Ralphs, but couldn't reach her right now. Some of the bakeries might have an egg free option.

Good Luck!

Have you called Whole Foods Market in Tustin? They made my daughter's first year birthday cake. It had eggs, but they use all natural ingredients (no dyes, etc). They might be able to bake a special cake without eggs.
