Is there a special kind of bed rail for a bed with no box spring? If so where can I find them?

I've been doing some research on this and all I found was a Safety 1 snap n lock, or something like that. Most of them require a box spring.

Not sure what kind of bed you have, maybe platform or bunk bed type? My sil used a regular toddler rail for my nephew on a bunk bed. She just could not fold it down like she would have one a regular bed. It fit between the frame and the mattress with no problem.

We just used a regular bed rail between the floor and mattress when we introduced our kids to the "big girl" bed. We had no problems. When they were tall enough we added the box spring and then the frame.
