Hi, I am looking to rent an oceanfront beachouse somewhere in NC in July or possibly August. I would need a decent size house as there would be five kids and two adults. We really want a pool too. We rented a house in N Myrtle Beach two years ago and loved it. This time we are looking to get away from all the touristy shops and stuff and just enjoy God's beautiful works. We can not afford to spend thousands for one week. I have been trying to find the less expensive areas in NC but have not had any luck. Upper Florida was an option too, but i havent really seen beach house rentals just hotels. So any ideas, suggestions?

What can I do next?

I'm doing a second rental through vrbo. Last year we rented a house with 5 bedrooms and had hubby and me, my oldest daughter and her 3 kids, my second daughter and her hubby and daughter, and my twins for the week. Plenty of room but yes it cost thousands. Because you are renting in the summer the prices are going to be high so you either pay the price or choose another type of vacation.

I always use VRBO.com and have great luck. I just booked a place on Dauphin Island yesterday for us to go this summer! :)

I just used VRBO to book a 4 bedroom house on the Outer Banks for $200 a night. You can put in your parameters and they show you what is available. Good luck!

I'd repost this with the location in the title - I think you'll get more responses.

Might check Wrightsville beach and Wilmington beach. Not sure what they have for rentals but it will be high due to high season. Hilton Head is beautiful too but in South Carolina instead. Panama city beach has rentals but I had my truck broken into there so I'm not impressed. Pensacola beach is beautiful too.

Blessings and enjoy!
