So, I'm hoping for a suggestion from you scrapbookers!! I have a small office, which is now my scrapping room. I do scrapbooks, cards, invites, etc. So, needless to say, I have a lot of stuff!! How do you all organize your things?? I'm limited on space, so want something space effective. I'm thinking of using mostly shoeboxes, with everything labeled. But, do any of you have any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance!!

What can I do next?

I'm a jewelry designer so I also have a lot of odds and ends to store. Ribbons look cute on a curtain rod, use hooks on a board to hold other embellishments. I usually use the clear plastic drawers, or a little wall shelf with items in pretty jars or pails. Shoe boxes are good, try wrapping them in pretty paper or spray painting them for a cohesive look.

I went to digital scrapbooking for this reason. Too much stuff! But I also sew and knit so have limited space. If you use shoeboxes, make sure to label well and I even use the clear ones so I can see what's in them instead of reading the labels. I have a friend who keeps her papers in an open 8x14 plastic file box organized by color. She keeps it in a cabinet and is careful not to bump the edges of it when she pulls it out. I would probably prefer something meant for paper storage but thought I'd mention it.

I bought cheap bookshelves (the type you get at wal-mart and have to assemble yourself) and then did baskets and plastic drawers and random jars I've peeled labels off and washed up. I label everything so when I need something I know exactly where to go. As far as my endless supply of paper, I got a specific paper seperator from Archivers (do you have one of those around?). Then for ribbon, I bought cheap towel racks, painted them and hung them on my wall. However, at Hobby Lobby and Archivers, they do sell a cabinet with 2 ribbon holders below, I believe they are priced around $80 or so.

There is a book out there that I found indepensible called thd organized and inspired scrapbooker. I caused me to look at myself and how I used things. I found (because I never thought to analyze before) that I need to see and have easy access to my items or I forget what I have. so ultimately I ended up with a kitchen island with 12 drawers (for tools and the like) and the ikea expedit with open shelves with containers in which I can see exactly what I have.

I use clear plastic containers for most of my things. I made a ribbon box using an old shoebox. I have an old dresser in my craft room for my fabric (I sew). My space gets messy and cluttered so I have to clean it up once in a while.

I organize my papers with one of those expandable file folders that I got at Office Depot for $20. I also found an awesome wicker shelving unit at a garage sale that where I separated all my smaller scrapbooking supplies into each little drawer.
