Any Recommendations on Postnatal Massages

I have an awesome massage therapist who does house calls, in fact she prefers to do them rather than through her office. She works out of her home as well. She is located in West Rogers Park area and her name is Esther. You could tell her N. gave you her number. If you are interested I would love to share her info. AFter my 1st csection, i would get massages at the Evanston Athletic Club. That's pretty far, though. You can probably call any massage place and just let them know your situation and they'll let you know if they have a therapist who's qualified. As for having someone come to your house, i'm not sure if you'll be able to find this in the yellow pages or not, but a lot of therapists, when asked privately, might come to your house but probably don't want to advertise that to their employers.
Also, It was AT LEAST 4 or 5 weeks before i could lay on my stomach after the csection. If this is going to be a problem for you, be sure to tell the therapist when you make the appointment so they can be prepared for having you in a diff. position. Hope this helps a bit, and enjoy your massages!

I have used Michelle at Miss Fit Complete. She does housecalls. I really like her personally and think she is an excellent massage therapist.

When I was pregnant I had bad back problems (old problems that flared) so I had a massage 1x per week at my chriopractor's office.

Not sure where you live, but I get massages at the Gottlieb Hospital Fitness Center.....they are wonderful there. I am not sure when....ask your doctor....I would like to know myself just had #2 via c-section on 8/31/07. Let me know what you find out. C.
