Any Other Young Moms?

I just turned 29 (is that old?) but I still don't feel 29. I'm from southern California and just moved here 7 months ago. I've been trying to build up a social circle and the people that I click with tend to be younger than I am. I just haven't accepted the fact that I am in my very late twenties I guess. LOL. Anyway, I'd love to meet you. I have two girls ages 4 and 18 months. When I was pregnant and when I had my 1st daughter I looked like I was 15!!! I had a really hard time adjusting to motherhood because people assumed I was a highschool drop-out or something because I looked so young. It was really hard. I think that is why I shy away from mom's that are closer in age to me. I just remember how left out the mom's made me feel during one of the most amazing times of my life. So, eventhough I am older than you I still know what you are going through. Not only that but my husband would get teased that he robbed the cradle. LOL!!!

You might want to look into a playgroup through your local Early Childhood PTA. I live in Carrollton and have been involved in one for over 2 years now, and love it. I have 2 boys and they look forward to getting together with their friends to play, plus you really get to know other moms struggling in the same ways. I highly recommend at least looking into it.

I'm not 19 but I am 24 and I have two kiddos my daughter is 5 and my son in 3, and I've been engaged for about a year now. After you get with someone and you start having kids, who you think are your friends just disappear. It would be nice to talk to some one on the same level and going through similar situations. i'm 24 and about to have my second daughter pretty much any day now - once i get adjusted (if you ever really can) to having a newborn and a 2 1/2 year old, i'd love to get together with you all - i also belong to a couple moms groups at my church - if anyone is interested i'd be glad to share some info

I'm not in the same position but I was. I am 33 and I have two kids - my son is 14 and my daughter is 12 (both have birthdays coming up). My son is from my first marriage (I was young and so was he). I re-married and have been with my husband for almost 14 years.

I get the looks and comments (usually in the form of "compliments" about how young I look) b/c most women my age don't have 2 teenagers. I know it's frustrating but if you want to talk about it shoot me an e-mail we can chat by writing/phone/face-to-face - whatever you prefer.

Either way, keep your head up. No one needs to know or understand why you had kids so young. It's your life, enjoy it! Best of luck with the marriage and baby.

Hey! did you ever find anyone to hang out with! your gettin close to popping right? I just had my baby last week....I asm not around 19 but I dont like hanging out with 30 yr olds either lol....I am 27 and have 3 kids my son is 6 my daughter is 2 and my other daughter is now just over a week old..... I saw your post and just wanted to see how you were doin!
