Animation Video Software

There is a way to do basic animation and voice over using PowerPoint.

You put the video clip/images on the slides, use the animation settings to tell it to advance the slides automatically (you can set the timing for each slide) and the record what you want to say with each slide.

After it plays the way you want, you can record it into a video format.

Your daughter can get better instructions online.

My son and daughter used iMovie to do a little documentary video for school. They narrated on screen and did this claymation type movie. They didn't have slides though - it was more of a movie that they could edit. They added music, and could add video clips where they wanted. It was quite easy to edit. This was on my son's iphone so you'd have to have apple product for that one.
We just downloaded it to our PC and then they stuck it on a jump drive to take to school.

I couldn't begin to answer your question myself and my 14 year old is at school so I don't want to disturb him. Is there a computer lab at her school? If so, is there someone there who might be able to direct you both in terms of quality and price? Another good resource might be your local librarian. Most libraries these days have computer labs and someone has to run them. Wishing you and your DD luck in the endeavor...sounds like it should be fun. I wish we could see the finished piece. :-) S.

I haven't used it, but I've heard good things about Toon Boom. There are lots of different iPad apps that are recommended for educators. Google best animation apps for education.
