I know there is a children's dental group in Simi Valley, and they also run one in Camarillo that my kids used to like.
Another good dentist who does well with children is Dr. Linda Tincher. She is in Westlake Village, but she has 5 kids of her own, and my kids really like going to her. She has a TV at each chair, and gives the kids a prize at the end in a vending machine.

We love Dr. Alami! He has an office in Agoura Hills and I believe he just opened one up or will in Simi Valley. Try the number in Agoura. My daughter (3) is terrified of any doctor and he just seems to know how to connect with kids of all ages.

Have you tried giving him an electric toothbrush? There are so many fun ones out there- some even play music. Also there's a new mouthwash for kids that temporarily stains the plaque on their teeth blue so they know to keep brushing. As far as the yellow teeth thing- my eight year old brushes twice a day and flosses every night and his teeth are kinda yellow, too. Maybe it's natural and normal. We've been going to Simi Valley Dental Group but I don't recommend it. They're very unorganized and impersonal. I'm in the process of finding a new dentist myself. Good luck!

Hi J.,
I take my kids (9,10,12 and 14) to Mac Welikala in Moorpark. He is really great with kids, and gentle. 55 W Los Angeles Ave, Moorpark. ###-###-####

Hi J.-
Practically everyone I know, including myself, goes to the Simi Children's Dental Group (aka the Spaceship Dentist). It's nice because it also includes orthodontia care if your child may need that in the future. Eveyone's really nice and gentle with the kids. My kids never had a fear of the dentist because they made it fun. They also have contest drawings for those with good check ups (a little incentive to take care of those teeth). If your child likes a particular hygenist, they try to schedule them with your child for the next visit. The entire place is themed like a spaceship which is cool for little boys like yours. Their number is ###-###-####. Check out their website www.spaceshipdentist.com. Good luck!
