My very good friend and neighbor is turning 60 on July 6th. Her husband and I are trying to plan a birthday celebration for her.
Do any of you have any ideas of a restaurant or other place, that would serve a dinner ($50-$60 a head), that would also have music and possible dancing? I would really appreciate any suggestions on this as I am stumped. Thanks!

What can I do next?

House of Blues has a band in their restaurant and a dance area. I think they might have a banquet room. Also if you can get to the Foundation Room without a membership, that is a great place to have a birthday celebration. They have a band in that area also.

If you can't find a restaurant. Maybe you can rent a clubhouse or room at rec center and hire a dj and get the food catered in. I know pappasitos (35/Loop12) has private rooms. Calle Doce in Oak cliff also has a garden patio and private rooms (affordable). Maggianos? but that place could be very pricey.

How about Love and War in Texas out by Grapevine Mills? You can do it for about $30 a head and they have a band.
