6 Year Old Birthday Party

Hi! We did the inflatable parties too - this year it seems that the thing to do is a bowling party. My 6 yr old son was to 3 different ones this year, and that what he is having at Orland Bowl.
Just a suggestion! Hope this helps! Also the park district rents out the tinley fitness center pool and party room and racquetball court for a really reasonable rate - I think $150 or so for residents - you just get the food. They provide lifeguards!

Chicago parent magazine has tons of great ideas for parties and so does Family Fun magazine look on their web site. familyfun.com for some awesome ideas. We did a talent show birthday for my eight year old and it was wonderful!!! The kids did some dances and songs, gymnastics ect. Everyone participated and everyone had a blast!!! Hope this helps.

our park district (Bolingbrook) has a water park (indoor and outdoor) that they book parties for. not sure of the cost and your budget, but July is a perfect month to do a party like this...

I just went to my friends birthday party this past Saturday... He turned 7 and they had a lot of Kids...My children are 10,5,3+2 and they all had a good time... my friend had a bouncer you know the castle and in her basement she had music playing and shooting hoops and the donky tail... she had like 25 kids coming and going and they had a clown coming at 4:00 p.m. he was really younng. he did face painting, dancing, balloons and some boring magic... but you know what: us adults are always concerned if the party is going good. I have seen nothing but kids smiling laughing and running in the yard...So the turn out was really good and the kids had a ball...My daughter has a birthday in June she'll be 4 and I will do the apple eating and a lot of games i used to do growing up... Try Family Martial Arts in Mokena on 191st St (next to ROL & Eiche Turners). It runs $10/child then you bring in your own food. The kids learn tae kwon do techniques for 30 minutes, play organized games for 45 minutes and then do pizza, cake, presents, etc. It's different from everything else out there and the kids LOVE it.

The Orland Park Bowl on 159th is fun. My friend had her son's party there last week. Pizza or chicken fingers and soda, bring in your own cake, bowling for an hour and a half if I remember correctly. It was really fun! I think she said it was about $7 or $8 a kid.
