The dust has finally settled and I realize that even tho I have mom friends, I really need to meet moms with babies about the same age as my baby. I recently met someone out of town whose babies due date was the same as my baby and we found so much in common with our babies!! I realized that I would LOVE to know some moms here who have 4 month olds or so and want to have a baby/ moms/playgroup! Madelines due date was November 2 but she was born October 16. If anyone has a play group or wants to start one I would love to join:)

What can I do next?

You could try looking up different Mom's groups on meetup.com. I belong to Oceanside's Little Explorers & I love it! I have a 5 month old daughter & we both love going to the baby playdates they have! It's a great group of Mom's & women! There are tons more groups on the site though! I'm sure you'll find one that suits you & your baby!

Hi A.. My name is A. and I am live in Oceanside (Camp Pendleton to be specific), and I am part of a play group that is WONDERFUL!!!! There are lots of different ages of children, several I know Madeline's age. The mom's also range in age, and frankly I am up there with you in age while there are several in their 20's. It is a wonderful blend of moms and babies. There are park playdates several times a week, baby play dates (which you would love)in people's homes, Mommy nights out where you leave baby with Dad (although yours is young enough to bring along) and game nights where we get together to play games while the kids play. My husband just returned from Iraq and I must tell you there would have been no way for me to have survived without this group. They are an amazing bunch of ladies.
So, go to this web site and sign-up(its totally free): www.sahm.meetup.com/505
You will need to register with meet-up, then ask to join the "Little Explorers" group. You will be accepted and once you do you will find a whole new world (full of babies and Mom's.) There are message boards to ask advice, play games, spout of ideas, and just tell jokes. There are "shout outs" that help you (or me) greet and welcome new friends. I think this is EXACTLY what you need.
I hope to meet and see you soon A.!

Hi i'm a mother of 2 and i do remember being in your shoes. we have all been there. and that's great you realise you need to get out and start conecting. i didn't untill my friends dragged me out, hehe. go to the MOPS website and check it out. if it's anything you thing you would be interested in, come to our next meeting, it's the 25th at Hope church in Vista, off Thibido. it's a great group of like 20 mom's 3 with 2-4 month olds. and it's not a bunch of church stuff. so no fear there. well, just a thought. i do have a playgroup that meets on Friday too.
