I have 3 kids,8,6 and 2--I am looking for a single vitamin as I know they arent getting all they need due to being so picky! I go to the store and I am clueless with all to choose from--Is there one vitamin that you recommend that will help them get everything they lack? I know I have heard the flinestones ect. dont do anything and the dentist told me not to use the gummie ones because they are bad for their teeth--I am open to any suggesstions- Thanks

Our family uses the Shaklee kid products. We do the multi & the new mighty smart DHA. A little pricey, but I agree with the other poster about Shaklee.

I know kids get super picky sometime, but have you tried perhaps offering a balanced diet that would include all the vitamins and minerals they need without relying on a pill?

Good for you for wanting to have better health for your children. I know how picky kids can be and it's hard to know what to get. Unfortunately most over the counter vitamins are not worth the money you pay for them and your doctor was right with what he told you. There really isn't one vitamin that fits all but I have found that whole food supplements are the best, including probiotics. Now, probiotics may not look or taste the greatest, but they can be mixed with other things that they like - natural applesauce, OJ and even mashed potatoes. I also LOVE a nutritional supplement drink that tastes great and is made from the 4 most potent berries in the world (Durian, acai berry, mangosteen and blueberry). Actually, you all could take it and make life that much easier!

Let me know if you would like more information. Remember, if a vitamin doesn't dissolve completely in a glass of warm water within an hour, it does you no good! Try that test!

I use the children's vitamins from Shaklee. I really trust the quality of this company. Their vitamins don't have a ton of sugar like some do, they are sweetened with xylitol. They have recently been updated to include the new recommendations of more vitamin D. They also include lactoferrin, which is a milk protein found in breast milk which helps boost the immune system, and prebiotics which also help with the immune system and the digestive system. My son loves them, and they work great. When I stopped nursing, he was prone to ear infections after every cold, until the new kids vitamins with lactoferrin were introduced, and he hasn't had an ear infection since. The toddler vitamins are called incredivites, and they also have an orange flavored chewable product with DHA, called mighty smart.
